İktidara yakınlığıyla bilinen Türkiye Gazetesi’ne göre, sosyal medyada yayılan “Diyarbakır’da 300 öğrencinin tam puan aldığı” iddiasını yalanlayan Tekin, “Diyarbakır’da tüm soruları doğru cevaplayan talebe sayısı 10 olup, bu öğrenciler farklı okullarda eğitim görüyor. Bursa’da ise tam puan meydan 20 talebe mevcut ve iddia edilen imam hatip okulunda tam puan meydan talebe bulunmuyor” açıklamasını yaptı.

Sınav soru kitapçığının fotoğraflarının paylaşıldığı iddialarına da değinen Tekin, bu görüntülerin Bakanlığın özgün metinleri olmadığını ve sınav binalarına görüntü kaydedici cihaz sokmanın kesinlikle yasak olduğunu vurguladı.
