Yunanistan‘da cumhurbaşkanı seçimleri sonuçlandı. Parlamentoda yapılan oylamalar sonucunda Konstantinos Tasulas, Yunanistan’ın yeni cumhurbaşkanı olarak seçildi.

Görev süresi mart ayında dolacak olan Cumhurbaşkanı Katerina Sakelaropulu’nun yerine gelecek ismi belirlemek için Yunanistan Parlamentosu dört kez oylama yaptı. Oylamalar sonucunda çoğunluğu elde eden Konstantinos Tasulas, yeni cumhurbaşkanı olarak belirlendi.

Tasulas 160 Oy Aldı

300 sandalyeli mecliste 276 milletvekilinin katıldığı oylamada, Tasulas 160 oy alarak diğer adayları geride bıraktı. Diğer adayların aldığı oy sayıları ise şu şekilde oldu: Tasos Yaniçis 34 oy, Luka Kaçeli 29 oy ve Kostas Kiryaku 14 oy. Oylamada 39 milletvekili ise çekimser kaldı.

Yeni cumhurbaşkanı Konstantinos Tasulas, görev süresi dolan Katerina Sakelaropulu’nun yerine 13 Mart’ta parlamentoda yemin ederek görevine başlayacak.

Tasulas, Yunanistan Başbakanı Kiryakos Miçotakis tarafından cumhurbaşkanı adayı olarak gösterilmesinin ardından parlamento başkanlığı görevini bırakmak zorunda kalmıştı.

Yunanistan’da cumhurbaşkanı, parlamento tarafından 5 yıllık görev süresi için seçiliyor. Bir kişi en fazla iki dönem cumhurbaşkanlığı yapabiliyor.
