Kocaeli’nde gerici Aczimendi tarikatı mensubu olduğunu belirten bir grup, şehir meydanında laiklik ve Cumhuriyet karşıtı bir fiil düzenlemeye çalıştı.

Ellerinde pankartlarla toplanan grup, Ulu Önder Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’e ve Cumhuriyet değerlerine alenen hakaretlerde bulundu. Valiliğin mevlit okutma kararını protesto etti.

Meydanda toplanan halk, gericilere tepki gösterdi. “Mustafa Kemal’in askerleriyiz” sloganlarıyla provakatif söylemler yapan gruba fırsat verilmedi.

Olay yerinde gerginlik yaşanınca sevk edilen emniyet güçleri kalabalığa müdahale etti.

Arbede sonrası küme dağılırken, bazı şahıslar gözaltına alındı. Olayla ilgili soruşturma başlatıldı.
