Suudi Arabistan, 2024 yılında hem yurt içi hem de yurt dışından toplam 116 milyon turiste ev sahipliği yaptı. Turizm harcamaları ise bir önceki yıla göre yüzde 11 artarak 284 milyar riyale ulaştı.

Suudi Arabistan Turizm Bakanlığı, 2024 yılına ait Turizm Sektörü İstatistik Raporu’nu yayımladı. Raporda, ülkede turizmin art arda ikinci yılda da ivme kazandığı ve sektörün büyümesini sürdürdüğü vurgulandı.

Turizm Bakanı Ahmed Al Khateeb, raporla ilgili yaptığı açıklamada, bu güçlü performansın ülke liderliğinin yönlendirmesi ve desteğiyle mümkün olduğunu belirtti. Al Khateeb, turizmin artık Suudi Arabistan’ın 2030 Vizyonu’nun temel yapı taşlarından biri haline geldiğini ve sektörün büyümesinde Bakanlık ile ekosistemdeki tüm paydaşların katkısının büyük olduğunu ifade etti.

Verilere göre, 2024 yılında toplam turist sayısı yaklaşık %6 artışla 116 milyona ulaştı. Bu ziyaretlerin yaklaşık 30 milyonu yurt dışından gelirken, 86.2 milyonu ise yurt içi seyahatlerden oluştu.

Ülke, tarihindeki en yüksek yabancı turist sayısına ulaşarak yurt dışından gelen ziyaretçi sayısında yüzde 8’lik bir artış kaydetti. Bu ziyaretler kapsamında yapılan harcamalar ise 2024 yılında 168.5 milyar riyale çıkarak yüzde 19 oranında arttı.

Yurt içi turizm de istikrarlı büyümesini sürdürdü. 86.2 milyon yerli turistin gerçekleştirdiği seyahatler sonucu oluşan harcama tutarı 115.3 milyar riyal olarak kaydedildi.
